What is the Myoskeletal Alignment
Technique (MAT)?

Developed by world-renowned pain specialist Dr. Erik Dalton, Myoskeletal Alignment Techniques (MAT) is currently practiced by tens of thousands of health and pain specialists around the world. With MAT therapy, most clients experience significant pain reduction and are often able to avoid invasive surgery and the use of pain medications. More importantly, clients can develop preventive measures to help avoid re-injury in the future.

The primary goal of MAT is to develop strategies for recognizing myofascial and skeletal strains patterns that commonly lead to neck and back issues. The idea is to treat muscle imbalance to bring order and balance to the body before the onset of pain. Prevention is key.

The second goal of MAT is to establish pain-free movement during your walking cycle by testing muscle imbalances, recognizing strain patterns and attempting to restore normal function and eliminate pain.

During your initial assessment we focus on
something known as ART:

Asymmetry

Any imbalances that exist between your muscles and bones.

Restriction of Motion

Muscle and bone issues that are preventing you from moving fully and naturally.

Tissue

Any existing damage or strain on connective tissues that could be causing pain and imbalance.

Identifying these three elements can then help us develop a comprehensive treatment plan. We'll then work with you to develop neuromuscular re-training exercises that stretch out and strengthen weakened and imbalanced muscles. Using this process, the strain patterns your body experiences are then systematically removed and replaced by proper body alignment and balance.

It's a revolutionary science-based approach grounded in research and practical application that's helped millions of people around the world find incredible relief from chronic pain. Most clients begin to see results even after the first visit.
